It’s been just about a month that I started testing the alpha of ShareMyCab. The feedback from my friends was very positive … when speaking about the concept. Speaking about the execution, they were, well …. let’s see, “polite” would be the term (I guess). To say things clearly: it sucks. And they pointed their finger at two things:

The home page of ShareMyCab displays a basic map, centered on New York for the beta.
You can change it to your city by simply re-centering the map on it but one of the features of my roadmap was to personalize the map for each user. If you’re in Tokyo, London, Paris or New York, the Google map would be automatically centered on the city you are browsing from.

I came back this morning from a long week-end (or a short week) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We stood there 5 days and followed the usual touristic tracks. I am not going to write a long report, as I did for my trip to Yucatan or my un-official non-tourist guide to my-new-york but rather just lay down a list of random “things” about the city and our trip, and the feelings we left the city with. This might help the neophyte traveler looking for an opinion on this city.
